17th January

Went to Arbroath today – just for the hell of it.  Had lunch in the Becket pub near Arbroath Abbey.   When we visit Arbroath we usually go to the Old Smoke House pub which is down by the harbour.   They have great meals and lovely fresh fish.    We like it in the summer when you can get great photos of the harbour area with all the bright coloured boats.

  1. What struck me most about the drive to Arboath is that from Glenrothes to the Tay Bridge the road is narrow, dangerous and totally out of date. From Dundee to Arbroath it is brand new dual carriageway. So why is Fife so poorly served by the Scotiish Government?

  2. because North Fife councillors won’t spend the money on roads – only on the ones the local rich farmers use
