Went to see the new Sherlock Homes film tonight. A real mix of humour, darkness, intrigue, swash and buckle not to mention the love interest.  All set up for a sequel with the introduction of Moriarty.  I enjoyed it very much a good piece of escapism.  A very original depiction of old Holmes.

Spent the day cleaning up……..first real housework after the holidays.

When I was finished hoovering I bent down to remove the plug from the socket and have hurt my back – think I pulled a muscle.

We got out 2 doors in yesterday – looking good but now we are broke.  Ah well such is life.

I must start doing some more work on this site.  The family tree pages need updating as does the doll’s house pages and the art and crafts…..in fact everything.  A fresh start to the new year

The snow here looks as if it going to melt away. Still plenty of it but at least there is a bit of a thaw.  What a corker its been this year.

Now that Christmas and the New Year is over its back to normal.  We are getting 2 new doors put on to the house….replacements.  It will finish all the double glazing work we have been doing in the house.  Next stop the poor house.   Next we are decorating our kitchen and replacing the units.   It is really needing it.  A new look for a new year.

I got some nice £1.00 notes for Christmas so I have bought another doll’s house.  When we get the work on the real house finished I will get started to building it and decorating it.  I am fascinated by all the miniature items you can get.  People are so clever at producing miniature stuff.
